eLearning Content Developer (Remote)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and technically proficient eLearning Content Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality eLearning content that engages learners and meets the instructional goals of our organization. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating closely with our instructional design and subject matter experts (SMEs) team.
The eLearning Content Developer will play a pivotal role in creating online training materials, interactive modules, and assessments that support diverse learning objectives across various industries. This role requires a blend of instructional design expertise, multimedia development skills, and a keen understanding of adult learning principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Development:
- Design and develop engaging eLearning courses, including instructional videos, simulations, quizzes, and interactive scenarios.
- Utilize authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and other eLearning software to create high-quality multimedia content.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and SMEs to ensure that content aligns with learning objectives and is pedagogically sound.
- Apply instructional design models such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) or SAM (Successive Approximation Model) to develop structured and effective learning experiences.
- Ensure all content adheres to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and is inclusive for all learners.
- Multimedia Integration:
- Create and integrate multimedia elements such as graphics, animations, audio, and video into eLearning modules to enhance learner engagement.
- Work with graphic designers, videographers, and other creative professionals to produce high-quality visual and audio content.
- Edit and refine multimedia content to ensure a seamless and cohesive learning experience.
- Content Management:
- Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including uploading and organizing content, tracking learner progress, and generating reports.
- Ensure all eLearning content is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with current industry standards and best practices.
- Regularly review and update existing courses to improve the learning experience and incorporate new instructional techniques.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks on all eLearning content to identify and resolve any technical or instructional issues.
- Gather and analyze feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of eLearning courses.
- Implement changes based on user feedback and industry trends to ensure content remains current and impactful.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with SMEs, instructional designers, and project managers to gather requirements, develop content, and meet project deadlines.
- Provide regular updates on project status and communicate any challenges or risks to the project team.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving the eLearning development process.
- Innovation and Professional Development:
- Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in eLearning and instructional design.
- Experiment with new tools and techniques to enhance the interactivity and effectiveness of eLearning content.
- Attend professional development opportunities, such as webinars, workshops, and conferences, to continuously build skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, or a related field. A Masterโs degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in eLearning content development, instructional design, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar.
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably with administration capabilities.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.
- High attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience designing inclusive learning experiences.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from conception to completion.
