Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Strategy Support:
    • Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organizationโ€™s objectives.
    • Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
    • Contribute to the development of sourcing strategies by researching potential suppliers and conducting competitive analysis.
  2. Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Manage relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential suppliers that meet the companyโ€™s procurement needs.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers to ensure compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service with suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes for the company.
  3. Purchase Order Management:
    • Oversee the end-to-end purchase order process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to procurement policies.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that purchase orders are aligned with organizational needs.
    • Track and manage purchase orders from initiation through to delivery, resolving any issues that arise during the process.
  4. Cost Analysis and Budget Management:
    • Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas where the organization can achieve savings without compromising on quality.
    • Assist in the development and management of the procurement budget, ensuring that spending is within approved limits.
    • Provide regular reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and budget variances.
  5. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the procurement process, including supplier risk, financial risk, and operational risk.
    • Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions to support audit and compliance requirements.
  6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Utilize data analytics tools to track and report on procurement metrics, such as cost savings, lead times, and supplier performance.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Develop dashboards and reports to communicate procurement performance to stakeholders.
  7. Process Improvement:
    • Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
    • Implement best practices in procurement to ensure that the organization is leveraging the latest industry trends and technologies.
    • Lead or participate in procurement-related projects aimed at driving process improvements and achieving strategic goals.
  8. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment on procurement activities.
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely updates on procurement activities.
    • Serve as a procurement subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to other team members as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba).
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record of achieving cost savings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all work.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with a virtual team.
  • Familiarity with procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier relationship management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., Certified Purchasing Professional, Certified Supply Chain Professional).
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment.
  • Knowledge of global supply chain management and international procurement practices.
