About the Role: We seek a skilled and innovative Remote Learning Experience Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in crafting engaging, effective, and accessible learning experiences for diverse audiences. As a Remote Learning Experience Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality instructional content and interactive learning modules that meet the needs of our global learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Instructional Design:
    • Develop and design comprehensive learning experiences, including eLearning modules, microlearning units, and blended learning solutions.
    • Create explicit and engaging course content, including learning objectives, instructional materials, assessments, and multimedia elements.
    • Apply instructional design models and best practices to ensure effective and efficient learning experiences.
  2. Needs Analysis and Planning:
    • Conduct thorough needs assessments and learner analysis to identify learning needs, gaps, and objectives.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and team members to gather information and define course requirements.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure timely delivery of learning solutions.
  3. Content Development:
    • Design and develop instructional materials such as presentations, workbooks, job aids, and online resources.
    • Utilize authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to create and manage digital content.
    • Ensure all content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with learning objectives and organizational goals.
  4. Interactive Design:
    • Create engaging and interactive learning experiences using various multimedia formats, such as video, animations, simulations, and gamification elements.
    • Design user interfaces and interactive elements that enhance learner engagement and retention.
    • Implement and test interactive features to ensure functionality and a seamless user experience.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Review and edit learning materials for clarity, consistency, and adherence to instructional design standards.
    • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from learners to refine and improve content and delivery methods.
    • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices to provide an inclusive learning experience for all users.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with project teams, SMEs, and other stakeholders to ensure learning content aligns with organizational objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with remote teams and stakeholders through virtual meetings, written correspondence, and collaborative platforms.
    • Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and successes.
  7. Professional Development:
    • Stay current with trends, tools, and best practices in instructional design and eLearning development.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to continuously improving the learning design process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in using eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong understanding of instructional design theories, models, and methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and developing interactive and multimedia learning content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG, Section 508) is a plus.
