Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide expert-level support to end-users via phone, email, and chat.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Assist with the configuration and installation of software and hardware.
- Resolve complex technical issues and escalate unresolved problems to higher-level support as necessary.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Conduct routine system checks and address potential issues proactively.
- Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Customer Service and Communication:
- Deliver high-quality customer service by providing clear, concise, and timely responses to support requests.
- Document all support activities and maintain detailed records of technical issues and resolutions.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical users in an understandable manner.
- Follow up with clients to ensure issues are resolved to their satisfaction.
- Technical Documentation and Knowledge Management:
- Created and updated technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and user manuals.
- Contribute to developing knowledge base articles and FAQs to assist end-users and support staff.
- Share knowledge and best practices with team members to enhance overall support capabilities.
- Project and System Implementation:
- Assist with implementing IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to plan and execute technology solutions that meet business needs.
- Provide technical expertise and support during project planning and execution phases.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.
- Monitor and address security vulnerabilities and threats to protect the integrity of IT systems.
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in an IT support role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience providing technical support in a remote or virtual environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in network configurations, including TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience with cloud-based services and applications like Office 365, Google Workspace, and remote desktop solutions.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
