🔎 Primary Responsibilities
Emergency Response & Patient Care
🩺 Swiftly respond to 911 calls, assess medical emergencies, and initiate appropriate care
🚑 Deliver pre-hospital treatments such as CPR, oxygen administration, and wound management
💡 Operate advanced medical equipment, ensuring accuracy in patient monitoring
📋 Provide clear, concise reports on patient conditions to hospital personnel
Patient Transport & Coordination
🚑 Ensure safe and stable transport of patients to medical facilities
📢 Communicate with receiving medical teams for a seamless handover
💪 Assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients to prevent further injury
Medical Record-Keeping & Compliance
📋 Maintain thorough and accurate patient reports and treatment logs
📅 Adhere to state and federal guidelines, including HIPAA regulations
📝 Document interventions and submit required reports on time
Equipment & Ambulance Readiness
🛠 Perform routine inspections to maintain medical equipment functionality
🔍 Conduct vehicle safety checks and ensure all emergency supplies are stocked
📦 Report and address any deficiencies in ambulance readiness
🛠 Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certification
🎓 Valid New York State EMT certification
🚗 Current driver’s license with a clean record, capable of operating emergency vehicles
📅 Certification in CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support (BLS) or willingness to obtain
