Job Description:

As a Digital Learning Designer, you will play a pivotal role in developing high-quality e-learning content and digital educational materials. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia developers to create immersive learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse audiences. This role requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, digital learning technologies, and user experience design.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Develop E-Learning Content:
    • Create engaging and interactive digital learning modules, including e-learning courses, simulations, and assessments.
    • Use instructional design methodologies to develop content that aligns with learning objectives and outcomes.
    • Incorporate multimedia elements such as videos, animations, and interactive activities to enhance learner engagement.
  2. Collaborate with Stakeholders:
    • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and analyze content requirements and learning objectives.
    • Partner with instructional designers to ensure that content is pedagogically sound and meets instructional design standards.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions.
  3. Leverage Technology and Tools:
    • Utilize e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Lectora to design and develop digital learning materials.
    • Implement Learning Management System (LMS) functionalities to deploy and track e-learning content.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging digital learning technologies and best practices to continuously improve content delivery and user experience.
  4. Ensure Quality and Consistency:
    • Conduct thorough reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure that all digital learning materials meet high standards of accuracy, clarity, and usability.
    • Maintain consistency in branding, style, and tone across all e-learning content.
    • Address and resolve any issues or challenges related to content development and delivery.
  5. Support Learning Analytics and Evaluation:
    • Monitor and analyze learner feedback, performance data, and usage statistics to assess the effectiveness of digital learning materials.
    • Use insights from analytics to make data-driven decisions and recommendations for content improvements.
    • Collaborate with the evaluation team to conduct formative and summative assessments of learning outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing e-learning content using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, learning theories, and best practices in digital learning.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and engagingly.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience in conducting learner needs analysis and evaluating the effectiveness of digital learning solutions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines (e.g., WCAG) for digital learning content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
