Position Overview: The Instructional Design Specialist will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional materials and programs. This role requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and effective content delivery methods. As a remote team member, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and fellow instructional designers to create impactful and engaging learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development:
   • Create high-quality instructional materials including eLearning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.
   • Apply instructional design theories and models to develop engaging content that meets the needs of diverse learners.
   • Utilize multimedia tools and technologies to enhance instructional materials and create interactive learning experiences.
2. Needs Analysis and Planning:
   • Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps and training requirements.
   • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance.
   • Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely and effective completion of instructional projects.
3. Content Evaluation:
   • Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional materials and programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
   • Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance content quality and learning outcomes.
   • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to incorporate new ideas and technologies into instructional design.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of instructional materials with organizational goals and objectives.
   • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders to gather input, provide updates, and address any issues or concerns.
   • Provide support and guidance to trainers and facilitators on the use of instructional materials.
5. Technology Utilization:
   • Leverage eLearning authoring tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other technologies to design and deliver instructional content.
   • Ensure that instructional materials are compatible with various devices and platforms to maximize accessibility and user experience.
   • Troubleshoot technical issues related to instructional materials and provide solutions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• In-depth knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning theories.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
• Familiarity with current trends in instructional design and technology.
