Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Online Media Buying Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who has a deep understanding of media buying, particularly in the digital advertising space, with a proven track record of driving successful paid media campaigns. As a Media Buying Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and optimize digital media buying strategies across various platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the best possible performance from media buys, meeting revenue and ROI targets, and ensuring a data-driven approach to campaign management. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and autonomy while ensuring collaboration through digital communication tools.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Media Buying Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop, execute, and manage media buying strategies across various digital platforms including Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and programmatic networks.
  • Monitor and optimize ad campaigns in real-time to improve performance, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to develop media plans, buying strategies, and ad creatives that align with overall campaign objectives.
  • Build a strategic approach to maximize ROI by analyzing media metrics, identifying trends, and adjusting media buying strategies as needed.
  • Manage budget allocation across campaigns and ensure that ad spend stays within budget while maximizing return on investment.

2. Data Analysis and Optimization:

  • Conduct detailed performance analyses, delivering regular insights on key metrics such as CPC (cost-per-click), CPA (cost-per-acquisition), and ROI.
  • Use advanced analytics tools and methodologies to track and assess the performance of paid media campaigns, identifying both high-performing and underperforming segments.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize media buys, adjusting strategies in real time based on analytics and business outcomes.
  • Provide detailed reporting on campaign performance to senior leadership, including recommendations for optimization.

3. Vendor and Partner Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key media vendors, negotiating rates and placements to ensure maximum value for media spend.
  • Manage contracts, insertion orders, and other key documentation required for media buys.
  • Collaborate with third-party ad tech providers and platforms to ensure proper ad placements, data tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Stay updated on new developments in the digital advertising landscape, including emerging platforms, ad formats, and tools that can enhance media buying effectiveness.

4. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that paid media strategies align with broader marketing goals and messaging.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure ad creative is aligned with campaign objectives and is optimized for performance across different media channels.
  • Partner with the analytics and data science teams to ensure accurate tracking of campaigns, data collection, and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders from various departments, providing regular updates on media buying performance and upcoming initiatives.

5. Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure that all media buys comply with relevant regulations and guidelines, particularly those related to data privacy (such as GDPR and CCPA).
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, ensuring that all media buying strategies are competitive and effective in a rapidly evolving digital environment.
  • Develop and implement internal processes to improve media buying efficiency, such as automated bidding strategies or better ad placement techniques.

Key Requirements:

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in media buying or digital advertising, with a strong emphasis on performance marketing.
  • Proven experience managing significant media budgets across multiple platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms including Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, TikTok, and programmatic platforms.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing vendor relationships with media partners.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions quickly.
  • Excellent understanding of media metrics and performance indicators, with the ability to analyze and report on them.
  • Proficiency in media-buying tools and technologies, such as DSPs (Demand Side Platforms), analytics software, and ad-tracking platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools like Google Data Studio or Tableau.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Certifications in digital advertising (Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint) are preferred but not required.
