Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Remote Contract Negotiation Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, negotiating, and finalizing a variety of contracts with clients, vendors, and partners from across the globe. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract negotiation, a deep understanding of legal and business terms, and a proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Drafting and Review:
- Draft, review, and revise a wide range of contracts, including service agreements, partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and client agreements.
- Ensure all contracts are legally sound, align with company policies, and protect the company’s interests.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for contract creation and modification.
- Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations with clients, vendors, and partners to secure favorable terms that meet the company's objectives.
- Employ strong negotiation strategies to resolve conflicts, reach mutually beneficial agreements, and mitigate risks.
- Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on negotiation strategies and outcomes.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions where contracts are executed.
- Monitor contract performance and enforce contractual obligations to avoid disputes or breaches.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters with external parties and internal teams.
- Communicate contract terms, conditions, and obligations clearly to all relevant stakeholders.
- Foster strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to facilitate smooth contract execution and ongoing cooperation.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts, negotiations, and related documentation.
- Implement and manage a centralized contract management system for easy access and retrieval of contracts and associated documents.
- Prepare reports and summaries of contract activity, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in contract negotiation and management.
- Provide recommendations for improving contract templates, negotiation tactics, and overall contract management processes.
- Conduct training sessions for internal teams on contract negotiation and management to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with legal, finance, procurement, and other departments to ensure contract terms align with company goals and financial objectives.
- Collaborate with business development and sales teams to understand client needs and tailor contracts accordingly.
- Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives by providing contractual expertise and insights.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract negotiation, preferably in a remote or international context. Experience in legal, procurement, or sales environments is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and risk management principles.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex contractual issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Additional Requirements:
- Language: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
