Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive online learning strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and addresses identified learning needs.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across various departments and functions.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to define learning goals, outcomes, and success metrics.
- Instructional Design and Content Creation:
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective e-learning content, including courses, modules, and multimedia elements.
- Use instructional design models and frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create structured, interactive, learner-centric materials.
- Ensure content is aligned with best practices in adult learning theory and incorporates modern instructional techniques and technologies.
- Technology Integration and Management:
- Evaluate, select, and implement e-learning platforms, tools, and technologies to enhance the learning experience and streamline course delivery.
- Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in online learning and incorporate innovative solutions to enhance program effectiveness.
- Project Management and Coordination:
- Lead and manage multiple e-learning projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, including subject matter experts, graphic designers, and technical developers.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure alignment with objectives.
- Quality Assurance and Evaluation:
- Implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of learning programs and gather feedback from learners.
- Analyze performance data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
- Continuously refine and enhance learning materials based on evaluation results and industry best practices.
- Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide guidance and support to junior instructional designers and learning specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Share knowledge and expertise through mentoring, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Advocate for the importance of online learning and development within the organization and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Human Resources, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in online learning and development, with a proven track record in designing and implementing e-learning solutions.
- Skills:
- Expertise in instructional design methodologies and e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
- Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Proficiency in project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, assess learning outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
