Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Remote Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team.     • Identify and onboard new suppliers that can meet the organization's needs, ensuring a diversified and resilient supply base.
  2. Procurement Process Optimization:

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.

    • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in procurement strategies.
  3. Contract Management and Negotiation:
    • Lead complex contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring that agreements are structured to minimize risk and maximize value for the organization.
    • Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies.
    • Work closely with the legal team to address any contractual issues or disputes that may arise.
    • Monitor contract performance, ensuring that suppliers meet their obligations and deliverables as outlined in the agreements.
  4. Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, including contingency planning and alternative sourcing options.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards, both within the organization and among suppliers.
    • Conduct regular audits of procurement activities and supplier performance to ensure adherence to established standards and requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier interactions.
  5. Financial Analysis and Cost Management:
    • Conduct detailed financial analysis of procurement activities, including cost-benefit analysis, total cost of ownership calculations, and ROI assessments.
    • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives that align with the organization's financial goals and objectives.
    • Monitor and report on procurement spending, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for budget optimization.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting for procurement-related expenses.
  6. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Led cross-functional teams in the execution of procurement projects, ensuring collaboration and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in procurement, and share knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Masterโ€™s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings, process improvements, and value through effective procurement strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with procurement software and tools, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific procurement practices and regulations is preferred.
