Position Overview:
The Senior Virtual Fundraising Manager will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive virtual fundraising strategies to support our organization’s mission and goals. This position is ideal for a seasoned fundraising professional with extensive experience in digital campaigns, donor engagement, and virtual event management. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, creative problem-solver, and proactive leader who can drive fundraising initiatives in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Fundraising Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive virtual fundraising strategy aligned with the organization’s overall mission and financial goals.
- Collaborate with the Director of Development and other senior leadership to set annual fundraising targets and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Monitor and analyze fundraising trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the virtual space to continuously innovate and improve fundraising efforts.
- Digital Campaign Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of digital fundraising campaigns, including but not limited to email campaigns, crowdfunding initiatives, social media drives, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
- Create compelling digital content that resonates with diverse donor audiences, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding across all digital platforms.
- Utilize data analytics to track campaign performance, identify growth opportunities, and adjust strategies as needed to maximize donor engagement and revenue.
- Virtual Event Planning and Execution:
- Design and manage virtual fundraising events, including webinars, online auctions, virtual galas, and other innovative digital experiences.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of virtual events, from concept development to post-event follow-up.
- Develop strategies to engage event attendees, convert them into long-term supporters, and maximize event-related revenue.
- Donor Engagement and Stewardship:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and other key stakeholders through personalized virtual communications and engagement opportunities.
- Develop and implement a donor stewardship plan that ensures timely and meaningful recognition of contributions, fosters donor loyalty, and encourages repeat giving.
- Leverage virtual tools and platforms to provide a high level of donor care, including virtual thank-you events, personalized video messages, and other innovative stewardship practices.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of fundraising professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Communications, and Programs, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to fundraising.
- Budget Management and Reporting:
- Develop and manage the virtual fundraising budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and achieving financial targets.
- Prepare regular reports on fundraising activities, including campaign performance, donor metrics, and financial results, for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management).
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fundraising, with a focus on digital campaigns and virtual events.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising targets in a virtual environment.
- Experience in leading and managing a fundraising team.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising messages and reports.
- Proficient in using digital tools and platforms, including CRM systems, email marketing software, social media, and virtual event platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
