Job Summary:

We seek a skilled and dynamic Virtual Change Communication Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in communicating and adopting change initiatives across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of change management principles, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging messages. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere while collaborating with a global team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Change Communication Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive change communication strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
    • Identify and assess communication needs for various change initiatives, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the change process.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership and change management teams to create and refine communication plans that effectively convey change initiatives' vision, benefits, and impact.
  2. Content Creation and Management:
    • Craft compelling and explicit communication materials to support change initiatives, including emails, presentations, newsletters, intranet content, and other digital media.
    • Create visually appealing and informative graphics, infographics, and videos to simplify complex change messages and make them accessible to a broad audience.
    • Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent delivery of change-related communications.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for communication related to change initiatives, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed and supported.
    • Conduct stakeholder analysis to identify key audiences, their needs, and the best communication channels to reach them.
    • Facilitate regular communication forums, such as town halls, webinars, and virtual meetings, to keep stakeholders updated and engaged.
    • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and managers on effective communication techniques and addressing concerns and resistance to change.
  4. Change Impact Analysis and Feedback:
    • Collaborate with change management and HR teams to assess the impact of change initiatives on different parts of the organization.
    • Gather feedback from employees and stakeholders to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts and identify areas for improvement.
    • Refine and adapt communication strategies using data-driven insights, ensuring they meet the organization's and its employees' evolving needs.
  5. Crisis Communication and Issue Management:
    • Develop and implement communication plans for managing crises or unexpected issues related to change initiatives.
    • I will lead the communication during critical change events, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent messaging across all channels.
    • Work closely with the crisis management team to ensure alignment of communication efforts with overall crisis response plans.
  6. Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:
    • Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in change communication and virtual collaboration.
    • Conduct regular reviews of communication practices and tools, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of change communications.
    • Share insights, lessons learned, and best practices with the broader team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Change Management, or a related field. A Masterโ€™s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in change communication, preferably in a virtual or remote work environment.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and how communication drives successful change adoption.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in using digital communication tools, including content management systems, video editing software, and graphic design tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and management, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate in a virtual team environment.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to empathize with employees and manage sensitive communication effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a global or multicultural organization.
  • Knowledge of internal communication tools and platforms like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or similar.

Work Environment:
