Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with implementing and maintaining virtual systems, ensuring they meet performance and security standards.
  2. System Monitoring and Optimization:
    • Continuously monitor virtual systems to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
    • Optimize system performance by analyzing usage patterns, resource allocation, and configuration settings.
    • Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure system health and reliability.
  3. Incident Management and Resolution:
    • Respond promptly to incidents and service requests, following established protocols to ensure timely resolution.
    • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues, develop and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system changes.
  4. Configuration and Deployment:
    • Assist in deploying and configuring virtual systems, including installing and setting up software and hardware components.
    • Work with other engineering teams to integrate virtual systems with existing infrastructure and services.
    • Ensure that configurations comply with industry best practices and organizational policies.
  5. Customer and Stakeholder Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide updates on system status, incidents, and resolution progress.
    • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, including user guides, system specifications, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in virtual systems support, including hands-on experience with virtual machines, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and security principles.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix) is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
